Geoff Laing Music Production, is an Australian based music production company supplying music and sound design.

Geoff Laing Music Production creates original music for Film, TV and music for corporate videos.  Specialising is Music for Dance School's and Theatre Productions since 1990

Whilst Geoff Laing's  Music Production specialises in music and sound design for the moving image, here at Total Sound we take great pleasure to be able to produce music for Dance School's  and Theatre Productions. Working closely with the principal or producer either by email, phone or direct internet connection when required. and when possible here in the studio.  Where we can also record live vocals.

The project may be in the form of a commissioned original composition, a backing track for vocals or an arrangement of an already existing piece of music.  We can also compile the complete concert giving you a seamless presentation, ensuring all goes well on the night.

Geoff has a passion for music coupled with his many years of experience in the music industry working with Theatre, Dance School Shows and the Prestigious Sydney Rock Eisteddfod for many years always delivering  quality production and customer satisfaction. It must sound great, be in the right key, at the correct tempo, with no audible cuts.

MASTERING

After you have mixed your project you need to prepare a master. The master will have all your tracks in order with a set time between them and a relative listening level that allows you to listen to the whole CD without  having to adjust the tone or volume. Ideally the whole project should sound as though it was recorded in the same studio on the same day. As a project is recorded, the tonal sound of each track will vary, depending on the studio, engineer, producer, or in what order they were recorded. Mastering resets the levels and tones to make the best possible listening experience and even if the tracks vary in sound and style, they should flow together smoothly.
